Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Didi and carrot, we have one more still waiting for her quilt as well. Just learned. But I'm hopeful the situation will resolve itself this week.
Thanks, Carrot, Now I feel better with someone sitting on the bench with me..I really liked doing the swap and hope they do it again...I think if something comes up in your life and you see that you can't finish the swap, you should let Jilliane know and she could place you with someone else. my partner had already startedthe quilt and I understand that, I just hate waitinggggg, always have LOL
My views on another swap like that IF it comes to happen:
I agree with Wighrose that a red flag should be implemented.
6 months to make this quilt was a plenty of time: it was possible to finish it in advance or take months to complete it or even leave it aside for months and yet mail it by June 1.
There´s always the possibilty of sending a drop out notice.
Some people sign in swaps without evaluating the work/costs involved , loose interest or
do not take commitments seriosly, they do not take into consideration someone else is working on something for them. No excuses for the missing ones.
I was told the quilt is ready for weeks now depending on someone take it to the P.O. for my partner.
She signed in another swap here in August and is up to date sending her blocks off. I wonder she
mails them from the P.O Google search indicates to be 0.9mi SO of her.

I agree ligia, they had 6 months. and carrot, i like your poem. Well, lets see who gets knocked off the bench first, sounds like it might be islandwiz1..hum! Be sure to show pictures of our late quilts.
An update for you ladies. I now have the quilt in my possession and working on it. I knowk I have had it a week and I should be done with it, but a cold and canning has overtaken my quilting time. Hoping to work on it this weekend or at least finish it up next week. Getting time on the longarm seems to be my hangup, but will get it done in the next couple weeks and in mail. It is coming together nicely. You all did great work on your blocks.
Be very careful, scraps can reproduce like UFOs do.
Life is short, live it while still can. QuilterMomma
Ladies, I'm off the bench, got my quilt yesterday from Grandme 26 (Judy). Will try to post picture later today.
