    Default Height of Cutting Surface?

My sewing space is in the guest room. Everything can be rearranged and tidied up for guests in a jiffy. The table I use for my cutting mat is a fold away. I have noticed when I have a lot of cutting to do that my back muscles begin to ache and I want to adjust the height of the table. Just wondering what height others find is most comfortable to use.
I'm 5'8" tall so the table is about "hip height" for me.
    Any suggestions?

I'm most comfortable when the table height is above my waist. When I go to my guild sewing days one of the ladies brings those bed risers for the tables, which are just the standard long folding table. They make them just right for me. I'm about 5 6".

Exactly what I use under my kitchen table. 5'7 and it works like a charm.

It depends on how you brace your ruler to cut. I like the have my left arm straight pressing down on my ruler. You will need to see at what angle to table you cut best at.

I am 5'9" and my cutting table is 37 inches high. It was the reason I bought it. Using the kitchen table killed my back so one day visiting my sewing machine machine sales center they had the table that converts to a full length mirror on a stand - there it was!

I have always read that the bend of your elbow is the best height. Works for me.

I also use the bed risers on a regular desk. I'm also 5'8" and it's perfect.

I have a folding table that you can adjust the height on. The highest height is what I find very comfortable for cutting. I think I got it through Amazon.
