I would have my electrical outlets just above table height so they would be accessible without crawling on the floor.

Plenty of space.
I'd want to have my HQ out to its full length.
Room for a big permanent design wall.
Boocases and the Antonius systems from IKEA.
Room for a quilting buddy or 2 to come over for sew-ins.
An adjacent bathroom

Great lighting, maybe even a solar tube or two. Down here they are much cooler to use and they are less expensive too.

Lots of electrical outlets. So I can rearrange as I want.

A nook for reading and drinking my tea and chats with a friend or 2.

And, best of all: a big budget!

it would be about 30 feet by 24 feet and i would have sections for piecing, ironing, cutting, frame quilting, hand dyeing, hand painting, walk in closets for storage of everything, and 2 design walls both being large enough for a king size quilt.

I would like a huge atrium but with storage. Maybe half walls. Of course I would have enough money to do it with the kind of windows that wouldn't fade fabric, get too hot or too cold and I would be able to figure out a way to keep it temperature perfect, maybe going "green". And the right kind of lights for nighttime. Inside would have all of my machines in their own tables with plenty of room around them, a good ironing space, maybe a long arm, design wall, etc. I don't have much of a stash so huge fabric storage wouldn't be an issue for me. I would like to be able to put my hands on a particular foot or tool at a moments notice. Wait a minute, if I am designing my dream sewing space I could have a set for each machine, right? I will never have this set up unless I win the big powerball, and we are very irregular about buying tickets. But, I can sure dream about it!!!!

A maid to keep things in order so when I sew I don't have to worry about cleaning up.

I love my sewing room, and it's pretty big but I would make it bigger if I could! And three words - storage, storage, storage!!! closets, shelves, cabinets, bookcases, wire racks, whatever! Plan storage places for everything and then add more!

Years ago Alex Anderson's father added a sewing room onto their home (one of her episodes on TV showed it). That would be the one I'd want - lots of light, tons of storage, huge work area. It was probably larger than my entire home is now! LOL
