Progress pics of my new sewing room - furniture
So I scored some major deals on Craigslist for a couple of cabinets for storage. The milk-painted green kitchen cabinets with the formica top was $50, and will be my cutting table and storage for cross stitch and other supplies. The tall cabinet in the corner is gorgeous and only $75. It will be stuffed with fabric, books and projects...fat quarters and misc. The shorter cabinet was $50 will have the batting and who knows what else...more fabric and supplies. The 3 lamps were $30 and they are so elegant! Two match and have light pink linen shades. The round shorter lamp is crackle glass with a white linen shade. Still have to get two adjustable height tables. One for sewing and one for ironing and other goodies. We will also cover the walls in cross stitch pics and a couple of quilts I've finished. The wall next to the short cabinet will be my design wall. It's coming together! More pics to come.

Don't forget good lighting. A good table for cutting fabric. Good storage for fabric.
Organization, organization, organization, is key. A place for everything, and everything in its place.
Avoid clutter so you spend your time sewing and not looking for supplies, rulers, etc.
Enjoy putting your room together.
