I forgot to reply to your wonderful "sewing cave". What a great idea. Now, I wish I would have thought of that with the home we have built here in IA. We have a very huge master bedroom with a walk in closet the size of most people's guest rooms plus an alcove area that would have held bookcases to store all my quilt books and dvd's.
I hope you enjoy your new quilting area and get lots of inspiration while sewing/quilting!! Enjoy and God bless you!!!

Okay, that does it. None of you are ever going to see my sewing/quilting area. Y'all have such neat spaces that have actual decor, mine is purely functional and not neatly so.

Great room, BTW

Very nice! I have mine in the basement rumpus room but it is such a mess I hate going down there. I am headed down to clean it up now!

Lovely area. One idea I have is to move the 2 chests to the other wall, and add a long top to it, making another space
for you to set up another machine, a serger perhaps. We must have a spare machine, you know. haha

The shelves hold folded stacks of fabric, pre-cuts and books.
The two small batchelor's chests under the tv are great storage.
The white shelf holds my other machines and scraps I have precut.
Of course I added a chair! It's my grandmother's small Lane recliner.
I have a big double window so I can look out at the trees in the back yard.
Stealing the master bedroom was the best idea I've had in a while!
(It looks like 2 of the same picture loaded and I can't get it to delete. Sorry)
Love your creative space! Enjoy! What a great chair too.

On your tall white shelves it looks like there are some kind of dividers on some of the shelves.Did those come with the shelves or did you get them and add them? if so where can I find them?
