Wow! What a great idea! Your did a great job on the quilt rack and the ruler rack!! Love the quilts too! Where did the pattern come from for the blue quilt with stars? I love it!

NeverEnoughQuilts 07-24-2012 05:18 PM

It was a block of the week designed by the quilt shop in Clinton IA. Has 52 unique blocks and is beautiful, IMHO...

WA Vet 07-24-2012 05:21 PM

That is so beautiful!

ging10ging 07-24-2012 05:23 PM

That's really a good idea and looks nice. Sue

snownannie 07-24-2012 05:30 PM

Did you have a pattern for this rack or did you design it yourself? Is it on a banister? I think it is beautiful.

NeverEnoughQuilts 07-24-2012 06:00 PM

It is my own design, however, the latest issue of Wood magazine has one very similar. On the one I made I put 2" pieces of wood on the top of the arms with the edges rounder over to help keep the creases off the hanging quilts. I also made the arm holders of different lengths to help the quilts hang better.
I mounted it on the basement stair railing to use up some dead space.
Ooooops, on an earlier post I said the block of the week quilt was designed by the quilt shop in Clinton IA, It was actually a quilt shop in Fulton IL.... Sorry for the confusion.

polly13 07-25-2012 06:08 AM

I absolutely love the way you can display the quilts as individuals with none getting hidden behind the others. Though I'll never have the opportunity to have something like this, I certainly enjoyed admiring yours. It is not just the beautiful quilts that are admired in this post. Thank you.

TexasGurl 07-25-2012 06:29 AM

Wow, that is the most beautiful, awesome quilt rack /display I've seen !!

Ooooops, I think you are asking about the one with the vine and leaves in the border, if so, the pattern is called Starry Night by All Through the Night by Bonnie Sullivan. Their web site is: allthroughthenight.net Pattern #811.
