Mine is pale yellow.

Mine is a bright sunshinny yellow. I think you should go with a color that you feel attuned with. Love the idea of using small easily changeable items as a counterpoint to the main color.
That plaid room is amazing, what a lot of patience that took. I agree if one color is good, probably another half dozen is even better.

Yes, actually many mental health facilities use shades of green just for that calming effect. I used to work in the mental health field, and saw those colours a lot. And they are soft and soothing!

That is a very pretty colour. I can imagine being very happy working in a room like that one.

Ha! That is a riot of colour and the premise itself is great. I don't know that it would suit me; but I can appreciate the sentiment surrounding it. Great sense of humour. You must have fun in there.

Right now it is gray with a burgundy wine color, but by switching 2 thin window panels to turquoise and a few tweaks in the display, like a jar of buttons, seasonal flowers etc. to match. It gives it a whole new look especially for the seasons (I know a bit crazy but I love the feel while sewing).

I am actually quite surprised sometimes how stunning grey can be. Especailly with cool accents like lavenders and lilac.

Lavender is another shade I considered- Plum would be rather dramatic. I would love to see a photo of the plum room.

I just accessed your blog and saw a glimpse of those plum walls. How lovely. It is deeper than what I was thinking of, but I can see why it makes you happy!

That is a beautiful wedding gown you made, as well. Just thought I would mention it. :)

I sew in my sunroom. It is facing the woods and has windows on two sides. It is ORANGE. I love it. But not for everyone. I love going in these and it is soft at night.I do have apple green walls in our greatroom and they also look wonderful. Very calming. Just depends on what feeling you are going for. Good luck choosing.

Thank you. I think it does matter how one feel in it, and it is a very personal thing as people have pointed out: what works for one wouldnot work for another, but I can admire so many. It is now making a big problem for me to choose!
