I wish I. Could say my craft room was that neat, but the truth is my DH gave me a new room ( the biggest in the house) as a sewing/ craft room and not all of my stuff is in there yet. The wooden thing on the fireplace is one of my spinning wheels, a little gem by majacraft. This is my Christmas present this year! And I love it

Oh is that ever a sweet sewing spot! The quilt is supported and your knee doesn't hit the cabinet leg! Tute please!

Great table! Would you please post grannie17's sewing table? I can't find her postings. Thanks so much.

Ok. I think my stupid auto spell correct changed grammy17's name. Since I don't really know how to post a link right now ( the geek husband is sleeping) I will list the name. It is called "sewing room redo" by Grammy17.
I used the Ikea ingo table, a 1x 10 piece of lumber an 2" screws. I used a jig saw to cut out the table top after marking with a pencil and then painters tape ( I was worried about cutting a straight line). Sanded everything smooth, then flipped the table over, measured and cut the 1x10 to fit right across the bottom of the table, drilled pilot holes, then screwed the shelf to the table with the 2" screws. I then drilled the hole for my knee lift through the front.
I think the hardest part was figuring out where I wanted the machine to sit, and how far back the knee lift would reach, once that was done, it took me and DH about an hour to get things done, and I did most of the work- even with my limited experience with power tools.

That is really sweet!
If I don't take to frame quilting I am going to do the same thing with my 15" machine. Very nicely done - and it's even cooler that you did it pretty much on your own. Awesome!
