Now if your husband was a car mechanic, you would have a car jack under that!

DonnaFreak 04-30-2013 04:57 AM

Around these parts, we don't call this a "redneck solution". That's just pure Southern Ingenuity! LOL!

If we put our minds to it, quilters can find a solution for just about anything. Great job!!!!!!!! Redneck and proud!

AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH. THAT IS A PERFECT IDEA who says we have to spend a lot of money
to fix things. lol
that is just great.
now have him build you shelves or cubby holes under that table with the other wood he has. lmbo

sewnbug 04-30-2013 07:03 AM

lol The only thing better would be be if the wood was Duct taped together!

Looks like a very thrifty idea to me. Everything on hand is what I like. I hate to wait.

No more bouncy table! It looks like it would collapse, but it's in there nice & tight, and it's not going to move. Sa-weet! Now I can practice FMQ "full throttle" :)

I love those rednecks - they can make everything work - so they have to be the best quilters with creativity! You did awesome!

Dunno- 'spose the plastic just wasn't designed to have a machine with up & down moving parts on it, I guess. DH originally put a horizontal bar under there...helped a little...not much.
Completely eliminating the flexibility in the center did the trick.
