Solving my flatbed table dilemma
4 Attachment(s)
My office/sewing room is heaven on earth for me. Love my space… but to be very efficient to do free motion quilting, something was missing. I have a L shape desk and the extension table for my Pfaff but that did not give me enough flat space and my quilt would drag down while I was quilting it. I needed a flatbed table but I wanted to keep my desk. I came up with this solution. At IKEA, I bought a table top and adjustable legs. You can see the result on the pictures. Another thing you can see is my cutting table. It’s an old kitchen table and my husband made taller leg with a hole in them so we could slide the original legs in the new one. Voilà! He is the same husband(!) that did my thread cabinet that is above the table. You can see it better on my introduction post.

Okay, I'm going to the IKEA site right now. Love your set up and love the color of the table. Is it pretty sturdy? Oh and your room is lovely, too.

Absolutely wonderful arrangement - but how in the world do you keep it so neat?

Very happy for you! It looks so clean and neat. ENJOY!...

I love your spacious room. I'm green with envy. That was really a neat idea that you came up with. Thanks for sharing.

Are you sure that you sew? Where are the scraps? Where are the threads all over the floor? Where are the odds and ends of quilt sewing? Where are all the tools? ...But, I forget, some people are neat and their rooms bear no resemblance to my disaster areas. Very neat solutions you and hubby came up with.
