I am heading to Georgia this week for vacation and wanted to know of a good quilt/fabric store in Macon/Forsyth area. I will be there for 2 weeks, and would like to start working on a new project while I am there...might keep me from eating 'til I pop (doubtful) since I would feel terrible if I got fried chicken on my fabric .

I hope you enjoy yourself! I liked Maine lobsters when we were up there. Micky Ds even had lobster sandwiches...too funny!

You could stop on the way down (if you are coming down I81 and go to Tennessee Quilts in Jonesborough, TN or Somewhere Sewing in Johnson City. Both are great stores/

Have fun in Georgia. Eat all you want. It's not like you eat it all the time.

There was a 30 degree difference on the same day from the time I left there til I got back to Maine...had fun, checked out a few of the shops (nice place in Jonesboro -just outside of Atlanta) and ate lots of greens and beans...and chicken of course! ...also cornbread, biscuits, banana puddin', peach ice cream, just rolled off the plane at this end...thanks for all the suggestions..
