We are going to a wedding in Oct. near Gettysberg. Does anyone know of quilt shops near there that are worth going to? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks,
Lorraine

I am from the Gettysburg area and I used to go to this shop...
Needle & Thread
- www.woodedhamlet.com
2215 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg - (717) 334-4011
It was under different ownership, and had all the reproduction fabrics. It was great. Hopefully it hasn't changed too much. I included the phone number so you can call to see what they carry.

Another shop I went to, but was never too impressed with is now under new ownership. I haven't been there since the new ownership, but the website looks like it may be a good shop. It's not too far out of Gettysburg, but you may want to mapquest just in case - I am used to rural areas, so my idea of too far may be different from yours.

The Finishing Stitch Quilt Shop
- www.thefinishingstitch.biz
1897 Hanover Pike, Littlestown - (717) 359-4121

If you are interested, two great places to eat in Gettysburg are
The Gingerbread Man 217 Steinwehr Avenue, Gettysburg, PA‎ - (717) 334-1100‎ and
The Dobbin House Tavern 89 Steinwehr Avenue, Gettysburg, PA‎ - (717) 334-2100.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

Abrahams Lady for Civil War repro's.

Farnsworth House for dinner............it's haunted!!!!!!!!!

Kilwins for ice cream and the best fudge you will ever have in your entire life. Their caramel corn is to die for.

These are all on the same street within walking distance, maybe a total of 3 blocks.
