I hope you are going in late October so you can go to the Quilt Festival in Houston.

I'm going to be in Fredricksburg the 2nd week in October. I love the quilt shop in Kerville. Any others I should check out?
My plan was to leave ND on Oct 15th. That could change. If I leave earlier I would love to meet up. I will keep watching this and let you know.

I live in Austin and there are some of us here that have gone shop hoppin' in the past. We have not only gone to local quilt shops in Austin but local surrounding area LQS as well. This all started a couple of years ago when Leslie on QB from CA came to Austin to visit her son.
Driving to Fredericksburg (FBG) from Austin you head out Hwy 290 West. You will come to Dripping Springs and there is a really cool quilt store right there in "Drippin" on Hwy 290 called Vali and Kim. In FBG there is also a nice quilt store called Pocketful of Poseys. Between Poseys, Valli and Kim, and my local south Austin quilt store, A Quilter's Folly on Brodie Lane, I am quite a regular. I have taken classes at Poseys and know the owner Cindy. They just got lots of new fabric in recently which I read in the email newsletter. It is on Highway Street.
Stacey, also on QB usually would organize a meeting place to have lunch and then go from there. i will email her and let her know in case she doesn't see your post. Maybe we can all get together. We always have a great time when our QB sisters come here.
