Can anyone on the board tell me of and quilt shops or shows ,Los Angeles, Aneheim or San Diego areas in January 17-24, 2011.
If you also have knowledge or cultural events besides Disney that would help. My daughter and boyfriend are attending a music conference in the Convention center and I will be entertaining myself. Any ideas appreciated from Quilt Board members in the area.

M & L Fabrics-Discount Store
3430 W Ball Rd, Anaheim, CA 92804
(714) 995-3178
Don't miss it! It's pretty close to Disneyland and near Knotts Berry Farm. The best prices are at the back of the store.
Don't know how far from Anaheim you want to go but I enjoyed visiting the Queen Mary in Long Beach. I'm not real familiar with the area but you could do a search for museums, etc.

I would think your best bet would be the Road To Calif Quilt show, that way you could see alot from the local vendors. Yes, yes do yourself a favor and visit Ms. Burns.
here is link for a search i just did:

I want to thank the ladies who have replied to me so far. I was thrilled to find that the road to california was at the same time and only about 30 miles away.
I just never thought that I would get to that show, especially since I am from the East coast. Happy dance!

When I'm in LA I like to go to the garment district where the fabric is very inexpensive, but it is mostly for apperal, not quilting cottons. I've picked up some lovely knits & woolens, usually for about $1-$3/yard. Good to hear of the Ontario show dates. I've heard about this show & may need to schedule a visit to So Cal to see my daughter then!
