This is my third quilt, but the first time I'd ever had a go at doing applique.

Thank you so much for the lovely complements. My son loves it.

I must admit that it did take a year to do and a couple of the blocks were terrible on my first attempt so I did them again.

I would like to do something like this again, but haven't yet found a thimble that I can work with. I finished up wrapping my finger ends with plasters before I started to sew, and they still finished up a mess.

Has anyone found the ideal thimble?
