A true work of art....beautiful.

About thimbles, I had a beautiful leather and metal Japanese thimble, which I found really comfortable I need to replace it as Lucatoni our Malamute x took a shine to it and I think he either ate it or it's lost forever.

YES! I bought mine at Joann's (using the 40% off coupon) and it was only about $5. It is made for people who have fingernails. It is a metal open-sided thimble, which means it lacks the top that encloses the finger. I love it, even when my nails are short, and can't imagine ever going back to a regular thimble. Wow a masterpiece! How did you come up with all the motiffs? My son is in the Army as well and I too was thinking of doing something 'military' for him. Please share your inspiration!
