A motto on the bottom would be a balancing addition--don't change anything else.

I think I might move the pink flower above the blue one on the far right to below the blue one so it is kind of hanging over the basket, and that will show more of the handle. Adding some patches of basket weave stitching would help, but not necessarily needing to do the whole basket.

Cute idea! The 3D flowers are lovely, I too would add something to give texture to the basket. You must have a wonderful imagination to come up with this quilt from a paint add.

The challenge was a really cute idea. I always appreciate an unusual approach to challenge quilts. You created a lovely piece. It is very pretty and stands on its own. Or, as others suggest, you could enhance it in some way. I think it is a clever quilt. Aren't you anxious to see what others came up with?

Red face Here is the magazine page and number I based my flower basket project.

After receiving the magazine page and looking at the ad for paint, I was inspired to do a project about color: Mother nature's colors of Flowers in a Basket.

After ideas from you smart and talented quilters, I am going to rearrange the flowers so the handles of the basket show....and it doesn't look like a plate. I also plan to follow the advice of using ric rack to give the basket dimension.

Thanks for all your input. If 2 heads are better than one....then a whole bunch of quilters heads are better yet.

Yes, I look forward to seeing all the challenges and learn how the magazine page inspired them to make their projects
