2014 guild magazine page challenge

Our guild had a challenge that is due at the upcoming Oct. meeting. In January, each person picked a magazine from a table. (no quilt related magazines). Next, a Number printed out in fancy and colorful font was passed out by the President.
The number we received was the page in the magazine we had to find. We tore out the page that matched our number.

Now for the challenge: Find inspiration from the page and make anything you wish...any size and any project quilting or non quilting related. My page was Home Depot Paint advertisement...What colors can you dream of?

The colors of nature inspired me to make a wall-hanging that is a flower basket(I hope you can see the basket)
Flowers color my world! I may add words at the bottom: Take time to smell the flowers or a monogram on the basket. What do you think...add something more or leave alone? Thanks for looking!

Love your piece. The only thing that I might suggest is to maybe cross hatch the basket to give it some dimension. Great job.

You gave a great imagination.....that follow thru from a Home Depot ad is brilliant......maybe tack down some small rickrack on diagonal to resemble the weave of a basket....just a thought

You met the challenge.

It looks cute the way it is but if you wanted a quote to add you could use...Bloom where your planted. I like the idea to add basket weave texture to your basket.

Very Pretty. I'd move the pink bud away from the handle so the handle shows more, and as someone else suggested, do some cross hatch quilting to draw more attention to the basket. When I first saw it, I thought it was a pretty plate until I read a response about the basket. But it is lovely and you did great work.
