I saved that original pattern, too, but I love your redesign - very clever use of your pretty fabric!

It seems that I have read your posts for more than a year or so, and am impressed with your progress, everything from repairing and maintaining your sewing machine to learning to make table runners and quilts. With every one of your posts, there have been those who take the time to praise and encourage you for the work you've done, from colors, to designs, to stitching. As I get older, the more I am drawn to the clean lines of more modern designs in quilts, and your recent quilts have drawn me in. I liked this one and the previous one enough to save the page and picture so I can copy you in the donation quilts our group is working on. You are an inspiration. To you and your cheerleaders, I say thank you.

What a lovely post elnan. Thank you so much.

I am very very appreciative of the legions of people who have encouraged and helped me these past couple of years. I am indebted to the kindness of strangers who have become friends.

Great use of those 8 1/2" squares of fabric. Great quilt.

Scraps from one thing just lead to another, don't they? Just love it when that happens as pretty as yours did!
