I dearly love to see southern quilts like this one. You are so very fortunate to have been the one to find and buy it. For it really needs to be cared for by a quilter and a lover of fabric art. It was meant to be.

Lucky duck!!

My MIL bought a log cabin quilt years ago, she thought she had an antique treasure. It was hand-quilted. Imagine my disappointment when I was finally able to examine it and found a "Made in China" label on it.

What size are the blocks? They look 16 or maybe 20 inches. Lovely!

Before you do any repair, you might want to have it appraised. I read a F&P magazine that quilts using chedder fabrics are very sought after and their value is quite high. Don't know how true it is but it's worth a shot.
