Love this quilt. I have some shirts from the lady that I was a homecare giver for. These are her deceased husbands shirt and also a bag of his ties. I was so happy to see this thread to get some ideas for making a quilt for her. Thanks for posting the question. I am never disappointed when I get on this site. I always find great tips and techniques.

This past weekend (at an antique shop) I saw a commercially made quilt made from what resembled men's plaid & strips shirts. It had whaling ships and whales on it. Cute as a button.
Also, someone recently posted on QB, a pattern for a quilt with fish made from plaids & strips--perhaps it was called
"something's fishy(?)". I think the pattern was listed in the items for sale section.
These would be good ideas for guy quilts and use of men's shirts.
