Mine is a bargello - no pattern, I just winged it. I made it for the daughter of a friend when graduating high school.

What a great idea craftyone, it's so nice to see everyone's avatar up close, they are all beautiful quilts.

My avatar quilt is a gift I made for my niece when she graduated from High School, this past June.
I knew she loves purple so I had been saving up some purples for over a year just to make her a quilt, and it wasn't until last November that I actually decided what quilt I was going to make. I was so excited for her to open her gift, and she had no idea that is was a quilt, she loved it. It is now on her bed in residence at University.
The pattern is called "With Love from Bali" by Bella Moon.

Wow ladies!! mine is just a flower petal quilt i made. i used left over "petals" from cutting the Arc piece of drunkards path blocks. i hate throwing away pieces of fabric and saw that the curved pieces would make great flower petals. another quilt was born!

I used a Thangles Sampler pattern, these were hand pieced about 12 years ago, and when I got back into quilting I machine stitched the sashing, and used this quilt to practice all my stitches that my machine would do. This is a real sampler. I did not like the stitching so, won't do that again. But the quilt is really comfy to cuddle up in.

My avatar was a quilt I made for my mother - it is a small throw, about 45" by 45". I actually made it for her as a grandbaby quilt, to use when the grandbabies came to visit, but she keeps it hanging on the rocking chair or over the back of the couch all the time.

I got the instructions online, at http://www.asminor.info/quiltfrenzy_...iecedstar.html

The instructions allow you to figure out how to do any size of quilt you want.
