I added two borders to my two lap quilts of the B&Y blocks. I was thinking to add a 3" yellow border next. I would like opinions please...

A) Should I add the yellow border??

B) Should I leave it as is, quilt it and use yellow for the binding?

Thanks for any assistance and or comments.

Kyia :D

close of up borders, second one uses the yellow in the sashings and blues in the corners stones

How big do you need them to be? My preference would be to leave as is, quilt it and use yellow binding. Yellow is a pretty strong color. If you need it to be bigger, you can add a yellow border, I would, personally, add something that reads more blue if I had the fabrics.

Looks wonderful!!!

Thank you for the comments.

I don't need them to be bigger. I am using them as lap quilts and gifting them to my granmothers.

I don't have enough blue to ad another border. I can either use the dar blue that is ther first border or the yellow for bindings.

I am still looking forward to any suggestions.

Kyia :-)

I would add one more border...sometimes that extra bit makes the quilt more cozy to use for the lap. Can you mix the blue/yellow, rather than pure yellow? They are really pretty!!

What would you sugest? I have a little of the blues left but not enough for a solid border by itself.

Great job. Blue and yellow are my favorites. Eleanor Burns has really pretty blue and yellows.
