My daughter is expecting her first baby, a girl, in 3 weeks.. she embroidered the blocks for the quilt and asked me to put it together and quilt it for her. While in Paducah, I took her to Hancocks of Paducah to pick her fabrics. My favorite place in the world! It took 12 hours to quilt it. I like the way it turned out.. my stippling has alot to be desired though. I still need to get it bound in the dark sash color, I think that will set it off nice.

Beautiful and a labor of love for you both. Be careful of the embroidery over the years as its washed and loved. My mom embroidered my name on a pillowcase for my graduation..after many washings the embroidery disintegrated. Makes me so sad now...if only I knew then what I know now.. =)
