This is a little quilt that I made for our local homeless shelter. They had a family that was out of their home. We made quilts for everyone in the family. I chose to make one for the little 7 year old who loves Barbie.

I just picked lots of pinks and purples from my stash and bought a yard of a bright Barbie fabric for the setting triangles. then I sewed two 4" strips together and cut them into blocks, made the zig zags by setting the simple 2-piece blocks on point. So easy.

And she loved it! They moved in their rebuilt home this month and every family member has a new quilt.

Very pretty. I love to make quilts for charities or shelters .... it gives a warm fuzzy ... for yourself and the recipient.

Cute. It's great to show someone that you care with a quilt.

So cute, and what a thoughtful start for their new home. I am sure the little girl loved her quilt. Instead of bad memories, she will have good ones.
