Batik Quilt top done that i had trouble sewing
this is the supposed to be Yellow Brick Road pattern i had so much trouble sewing together. some of the fabrics were so tightly woven i kept getting skipped stitches when going over seams. but it's all done now and borders on. i must find backing now.
i cut and sewed together all fabrics and then went to sew and noticed the pattern mention left over strips---- i didn't have any left over. So it's not exact to pattern but I got it put together anyway.

Sorry it gave you so much trouble "getting born" but if you ask me, it sure was worth it. I love the fabrics & think it looks fabulous! Don't you love YBR? It's probably my favorite pattern yet (after 9-Patch)! And this is a great example as to why I love it so much! Kudos!!!

it turned out very nice- when you are ready to quilt it try using a 'Sharp' needle- i don't know what type you used for your piecing but sharps generally work well with batiks- and be sure to use the correct size for the thread you are using- that may make a difference in the stitching for you- 'universals' may be ok- but sharps are a better choice when working with tightly woven cotton fabrics.
