Oh love all those racks...but...yes with me there is always a but..lol I live in area that the wind no matter how lil of a breeze it can leave a fine gritty residue on surfaces, and I have found since living here even though my thread racks are covered in heavy vinyl it still gets really dusty.
Saw a neat way to store them in drawers by gluing short pieces of dowel rods, I think that is the way I am headed.
p.s.
While drooling over all that thread in those pics I was thinking it would go bad before i got a chance to use it up..lol

Those racks all look neat, but the first one looks like it might be attatched on the inside of a closet door, hence the hinges. I need to look for plans for a thread holder and build one. Mayber get some of my wood working skills back from long ago. Thanks for posting the pics, what great ideas.

My DH has been making me thread racks to hold the large cones of quilting thread for my LA. He has made 2 so far. The smaller one on the left is one that I bought at WalMart. I had painted peg boards the funky colors so he used the same paint for the racks.
