Great idea.....but i am sure if i tried that i'd pull the shelf down on my head !!

Cute! I roll my folded binding on an empty paper towel roll and drop in a hinged shoe box with a hole cut in the top like a tissue box. I put the box on the floor between my feet and it unrolls as I sew, with no twisting. I also don't get it tangled in my chair rollers or end up stepping on it. Whatever works!
