    Default Birthday Crown

Today is my niece's first birthday, and her mom is having a 'Princess Party'. She is the only girl in this generation of kids (out of 7 boy cousins, she is the ONLY girl in the family since her mom, who is the youngest of the parents)

I saw these adorable sewn crowns online for sale, but thought, "$30?? I can MAKE one! It's just quilting with embellisments!! So I did! I'll find out this afternoon at the party if the mom likes it. Fingers crossed!!

Thanks ladies! I'm proud of it. It took me a few tries of drawing the pattern; I got the point angles wrong the first time, then forgot the seam allowance the second time (d'Oh!!) But I kept the final 'good' one, so now I can make more if I want to.
