Default Baby Quilt Up and Down

Now this is why I quilt! My niece sent this pic of her new baby on the quilt I sent her. I call it Up and Down, and the other side is pink with little girls jumping rope.

I hate to alert you on this, but a baby should not be laid on its stomach. They teach that to all new Mothers in the hospital here due to crib death. Please alert her. I mean no harm, please.

It is NOT a problem to place a baby on its tummy briefly, really. It is better not to allow sleep in this position, especially in cribs and on bedding due to SIDS. I'm sure this mom knows about this and is watching carefully.

The baby is adorable! Those legs remind me why zigzag quilts make perfect new baby quilt designs!!

I have three kids, all stomach sleepers from newborn until they could turn over. They are 50 - 46- 43. All very much alive. I checked on them.

BTW Pretty Chevron quilt, pretty Baby too.
