Default Bluebonnet Patch

This is a throw quilt I finished last week made from Bluebonnet Patch by Moda with some white tonal and the blue is "Winter Rhapsody" by Connecting Threads. I used the blue for the backing and the binding because it matched so perfectly. Found the pattern in "Skip the Borders" by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts and is called "Boxed In". I realize that it's hard to tell this but the middle four squares of each block has small Texas state flags and Bluebonnets, their state flower. I have some wonderful friends living in Texas and this reminds me of them when I see it. I have enough charm squares left over to make a table runner or two and will send those to the ladies there. Thanks for looking!

So pretty. Very pleasing blues. Your friends will love the runners coming their way.

Oh, well done. I can tell you put some thought into the fabric choices!

Really fun quilt, Linda. I haven't seen blue bonnets in bloom myself, but I love native plants and put them in my yard. Enjoy the spring with this great quilt.

Nice pattern, and I love the colorway. Red, white and blue, but not. Lovely that the fabrics remind you of your friends :-)
