My son wanted a quilt but he didn't want a "FRILLY GIRL QUILT".
This is the first quilts I made. I used all his old jeans and CUT CUT CUT. The fun part was finding all the zippers and pockets and hems and labelsand loops...and anything else that was an interesting part of these jeans. WAHLAH.I created this "BOYS" quilt and he loves it!

I made a jean quilt this summer...I gave it to my sister in law and it was HEAVY! I cut leg length strips and sewed them together. I feel sorry for her when she tries to wash it. =)

I Love your lay out. I have many many more of these planned. I have 2 storage totes full of jeans. But the thing I'm finding is that jeans aren't made with true denim anymore...at least rarely. They have that stretchy stuff in them. Did you find that? Of course alot of my stuff is for girls...that might make a difference.

I used the shabby look and kept the raw edges out to be frayed.

He loves it. He's taking it to college with him next year. he says it really warm.

I love it! Neat that you worked zippers and labels, etc. in.
