The mauve was probably from the 90s, when we were using country blue and mauve. As you can see from the bottom picture, I didn't want the background of the blocks to be too bright so I used the wrong side. (I use wrong side a lot.) This will go to the charity I sew for, and did not add side and top borders because would have put it bigger than the maximum size they want to work with, 40" x 56". Thanks for looking.
I use the "non intended" side often too.

Beautiful and sure to be loved by the receiver! Love the soft colors. I also have used the wrong side when nothing else worked.

Oh, I like this -- very cute! Another idea for me to use up scraps and stash fabrics. Thanks!

Very pretty, Judy. I don't think I have seen (or noticed) that broken sashing before. It makes a whole different quilt.

I'm not at all a control freak, but I just can't make myself use the "wrong side" on purpose.

Beautiful quilt BTW!

I would consider it a controlled scrappy. It is very beautiful.

I love this quilt. As PaperPrincess already said "scrappy but looks elegant" is the perfect description for this quilt. Well done !!
