Default Cat in the Hat- by Harriet

My granddaughter is due the end of November and the shower is this Saturday. When my son, the father, was little, I spent many hours reading the Dr. Seuss books to him. The Cat in the Hat was one of his favorites. I couldn't resist making this quilt. The top is flannel and the back is Minkee.

Very cute! My grand daughter loves The Cat in the hat and we read her dads old books when she spends weekends here. I need to buy some Seuss fabric and maybe some sock monkey too; She is only three and I've made her 4 quilts already...lol

Well, its amazing ! The main thing to notice is that the cat in the book as well as in the quilt are exactly the same and the other thing is that it would be a nostalgic effect to your son as soon as he finds it. In addition to that this would really be a good gift to your grand daughter. Truly an outstanding work.
