This is the center part of my challenge quilt. It is my first attempt at designing a small quilt. I drew up the paper piece part first so that I didnt have to stitch all those little triangles piece by piece. Then I appliqued the brown circle onto the center. I keep adding flowers and embroidery ... I made add a little more embroidery around the berries since they dont stand out very well. The block is 16" square so far. I'll be adding a 4" border all around with applique on that. Then it will be time to do some machine quilting. Im planning to practice A LOT before starting in on this one.
