Do you know what the plans are for the quilt? Will it go to the site, or what?It is definitely Sorrow and Beauty all in one. Thank you for sharing it with us.

this quilt titled Ground Zero was created by Lois Jarvis of Madison,WI There are 600 faces.

T he lone star patternwas used for it's likeness to a explosion. The outer border portrays the gray days after.
She felt compelled to make this even though she personally was not connected to anyone. She will not profit from this or sell it. She does allow it to be loaned for display

I wonder if I saw this at Quilt Market in Kansas City a few years ago. They had several quilts with that theme. Heartbreaking. :(

    Wow. moved me to tears.

My friend was in the WTC but managed to get out before it collapsed. He is still haunted by the sounds and images today.

This quilt is both haunting and beautiful at the same time

That is a hauntingly beautiful quilt. Where in Queensbury was the show?
When it seems like the world is falling to pieces remember that the pieces are falling into place. We are nearing closer to the End Times.
