Love that quilt, Red. How big are the center square patches? 4 1/2, maybe?

So cute! 30s prints are perfect for little ones--they're so soft, and they're just plain FUN!

Aaarg. well I guess waiting for a sale is a good thing.

So far, I think it's wonderful. Late? Perfect timing.... no spit up and mid-night accidents, at this age.

Can't wait to see the finished.

It's darling! I think you were smart for waiting. She's really going to appreciate it more now!

It will be a surprise to her. I love little surprises myself around my birthday. I will pick up a few little clothing items and a toy or two before I send it off.

This little one was named after my mother after she passed away. So I always enjoy doing little things for her.

I almost didn't post it at all after seeing the quilt show that eddie posted. LOL! Gee that was sure humbling to look at.

Ducky .. Yes, the centers are four and a half. But, the quilt you and I were talking about is diferent than this one. It will be a nine patch set on point with embroidered centers. From there I don't know ... What ever I think up. Most of my things are done that way, you know. A little of this a lot of imagination/inspiration... LOL!
