My niece is turning three in october. I have been meaning to send her a quilt since she has been born. Am I behind a little?? Ha ha ha ...

In my defence, I sent her tons of cute handmade baby clothes.
What do you all think? It is ready to be quilted. I just have to go and buy some batting. It is going on sale at a local fabric store the sevententh, so I think I will get it then.

All children's prints...

I just love your quilt, and the prints.
Are they Aunt Grace, or 1930's repos?

Hey Red

Little Cherish will fall in love with that quilt when she feasts her eyes on it. Are the centre blocks made from Charms - just wondering as I have 2 packs of 30's repro's that I want to use to make a quilt for my 1st GC Harry who's due next month.

I love the fabrics on this quilt. I'm sure she will love her new quilt from her talented aunt. :)

Well, to tell the truth girls, this fabric was gifted to me by my neighbor. She started a class and cut out some of the squares to be set. Then she hated the class and never finished it. Not even a block. There was no edges to tell what the manufactorer's name is.

I had to recut all of the blocks, and it was tedious. And then I hated the original pattern blocks for a child's quilt. So, I almost put it away too. I made myself think about what it was I didn't like about it. I realized the blocks were too fussy for a child's quilt and scaled it down to this. Now I do like it, and it got finished. Well so far. The original blocks were a chinese lantern.

I am thinking these were fat quarters to begin with. By the scraps that are left. I had the yardage for the colored borders on hand. All the rest was in the package kitty gave me.

By the way Sharon ... It is going to Arizonia. LOL
