Red face Finished Piecing & Applique

So here is a photo of the 'almost' ready to quilt top. Lots of work to be done on the body area to make it pop.

Previously, when I showed my husband the pieced top without the body he said it looked nice. Then, when I showed it to him with the body of the eagle he confessed that he thought it was going to be a Christmas tree for a Native American. Now he gets it!

I love it so far. I have her book and some of her rulers. I also have taken advantage of the free patterns and deals she has offered, but not made anything yet .

Was the Eagle done with the 12% ruler or one of her bigger ones?

Wow, never saw a pattern like that one. It is lovely but it does look hard.
