What we need in these mountains is a heavy rain with NO lightening. I am near Yosemite, so I know your fears and our prayers are with all of you and all of our heroic firefighters. I too have watched them in action. What a remarkable bunch of people they are

So sorry your having to go through this. Have a friend in Fallbrook with horses and every time they're in danger I worry like crazy, as her Arab stallion came from us and he has a special place in my heart. Be safe and be very careful. Wish I could send you a bunch of our rain, we have having flooding problems in Tampa Bay area and all lakes are very full.

Very pretty! I am sure they will be much appreciated. We have some terrible fires here in Eastern Washington right now and I am wanting t make a quilt or two. Just learned this afternoon that three fire fighters lost their lives and four others were injured. So darn sad. I pray for all the victims every day.

These fires are so devastating - especially where homes are located.

Our fire is now 97% contained and the firefighters are down to 269 (from 5 times that). Many other places, like Washington are still in major danger. I suspect many guilds across the West are quilting like crazy for the victims. My guild is having a quilt meeting a week to meet our local needs. I can't go to the one tomorrow, so I sent 3 large Dresden plates to act as center medallions.
