Default comfort quilt for young woman

Just finished this comfort quilt for the young woman who is the receptionist where I go to the physical therapy pool. She had a mastectomy 9 days ago and will start chemo soon. They will deliver the quilt to her tomorrow.
Today I am starting the quilt for the brother of my DGD's friend who lost their dad. His quilt is the one I made the cutwork snowboarder for.

The border around the center heart panel is actually a green and white very narrow stripe. It must be the reflections of the light that caused it to look that way. The center panel is actually a napkin or bandanna.
This quilt is a controlled scrappy. I pieced her first initial and the pink ribbon in the bottom panel and appliqued the saying in the center that says, "Fight like a girl."

That is my Miss Maple, almost all grown up, inspecting my binding at the bottom. Smiles

She will love it! She has a tough road ahead and she will be reminded of the support she has from you on her journey.
