Default Commisioned table runner ...

My neighbor wanted a table runner from some fall batik fabric she had. But, she knew I didn't sew for money. So she was smart, she traded my services for a beautiful stack of fat quarter oriental fabrics and some flat fold of the matching main fabric.

Oh yes, she was sly and cunning and knew I couldn't resist those lovelies. LOL... So I asked her what pattern she wanted the runner to be, but she just wanted the batiks to be the show and uncut. Well, ok I get that, I said. I provided the backing fabric, batting, threads, quilting and binding fabric and of course my time to make it for her. Here it is all finished. You get to see it before she does... LOL! I used a fabric that could be used for summer on the back side so now she has a two for one runner.

Here are pictures of the fabric, the runner and the backing. I hope you like them. Huh, I hope she likes it.

Beautiful, I love both sides and am sure your neighbor will too. Smart of her to "make an offer you couldn't refuse".

A great way to showcase two great batiks.

I particularly like the autumn one ... do you know what batik company it is from?
Please? and Thanks!

I love your table runner but really love the hibiscus flower side. It's so delicate. I'm sure she'll love it and great job you did. Sue
