I'm planning to make a 100 inch long table runner for my boss's formal dining table for Christmas. This is the pattern I'm going to use. Thanks so much for sharing. I was dreading it but this will make it so easy to make.

Thanks for the link. I use this technique to make binder covers for quilting scrapbooks. Before sewing on the binding I attach pockets on the inside to hold the binder and round one end for a flap. After the binding is attached, I just insert a 1 1/2 inch thick 3-ring binder from the office supply in which I had put clear plastic sleeves and some ruled paper at the back for notes. I put pics of quilts, notes on current projects, etc. in the scrapbooks. I have given these as gifts to my quilting friends who love them. If anyone is interested I will be happy to provide dimensions. Hadn't thought of making tablerunners. Could also do placemats.
