Here is a couple of photos of the quilts that I have done or in the process of doing. Just remember that these are quilts #2 and #3 that I have ever done in my life.

This quilt top is about half way done and will have a triple border when It is ready to quilt in the next couple of weeks

This is the one I did for my SIL and was the first one to come out of my newly remodeled shop

Here are the machines that I am using to do them with. The first one is my Universal model 15 from the late forties and that is the one that I used for the purple quilt.

That is awesome!! I always believe that it's not necessarily the machine that makes beautiful quilts........it's the hands who operate the machines.

I don't own a fancy machine. I have only 2 machines, both bought for less than $200 (one was from Costco, the other from WalMart). I have put together some eight queen-size quilts on both of them; and nobody would've known that I didn't use a fancy-schmancy machine on any of them.

I envy that you have your older machines. I wish I had my grandmother's machine. She had sewn on a treadle.

Here is my 1963 Kenmore that is pretty rare for the fact the the model was only produced 2 years and the color is a true pearl (Pearl Iris is the correct name). This is the one I am using for my wife's quilt that is in the second photo.

Those look like you have been quilting for awhile!!! You have a good eye for color and color combinations! My singer is a 1950's and looks very similar to yours tho not the gold on the front part. I do all of my work on it. These Singers are the best unless someone wants all the fancy stitches.

Thanks for posting your pictures! I enjoyed them!

Great quilts! Very nice machines too. I read an article in a quilt mag once about a woman who only pieces and quilts with treadles.
