Crazy Quilt from antique hankies
#171
I have a question. Did you cut these hankie or fold them when you crazy quilted them? Or are they top stitched? Did you use a stablizer like muslin or batist? Sorry for all the questions. I hope you don't mind

WOW!!! simple beautiful. I have a collection of hankies that I keep in a basket in my bedroom on an old footstool. I have been wanting to do something with them... I love your idea! I have never made a quilt for myself and I believe I will have to now.

I have seen some very nice Hankie quilts, but yours is Stunning !
You have inspired me to use my stash of vintage hankies, I may need to search for a few more special ones, but that is part of the fun. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

Your quilt is so very soft and feminine. It is a beautiful way to use up those beautiful old hankies. I kind of miss those pretty hankies. I used to fold them up in pretty ways and wear them in a blouse pocket. They were to pretty to use in any other way. I think I still have them somewhere.

Can't agree with everyone more! This is lovely and unique, I have been collecting hand embroidered handkerchiefs for years, looks like now I will have to collect patterned ones too. Couldn't bring myself to cut up the hand embroidered ones.

It's beautiful. I have some hankies, and I have a pattern I want to use with them where you fold them into a butterfly and tack them down onto a block. someday I will do it, but there are a lot of UFO's ahead of it.lol.
