My 2 1/2 yr old DGGS told his Mom that he could show her how to make a quilt because Nanny makes quilts all the time, so I decided to let him make his Mommy a quilt today. This is his very 1st effort. Of course, what cutting had to be done, but most of the pieces came from the scrap basket.

Very busy glueing

That is so precious...my nephew spent so much time with me doing "arts and crafts" projects, that by the time he went to preschool, he was very proficient in using scissors...his teacher wouldn't let his class use scissors...even the blunt ones for some reason, but he explained to the principal that his aunt had taught him how, so she allowed him to show her about my safety lessons, after which, the principal suggested to his teacher, that he be allowed to be her assistant...he is now 33 yrs old and I still have a lot of his 'masterpieces'...Naomi

Wow, he does better than me. So cute. Clever idea to let him use the glue stick. Bet he had a blast.

He's got it all figured out ... and soon will be at the sewing machine quilting too!

Hope that his "first" quilt gets hung ... and is kept as a family heirloom!! :)
