Last Saturday our quilt guild (Clark County Quilters) had a full day of quilting classes. I decided to take the 'Cutaway Applique' class to broaden my skills. It certainly was not difficult to learn, and in 8 hours I was able to make this 18" x 23" table topper. I originally was going to use brown yarn for the edging of the 'clouds', but after cutting it decided that purple would look better. I will make more for table toppers, bed warmers, table runners, etc. Thanks for looking...

To see the pattern, go to

highlight Magazines - on the far left
click on Past Issues
click on Oct/Nov 2010
scroll down a bit
click on picture - Creating a Backdrop for Embellishment
click on Print Full Size Pattern
print the pages and tape together
