The pattern is from an Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day Book entitled, "Diamond Log Cabin" table cloth or tree skirt. It's a very easy pattern that makes up fairly quickly. This one only has 3 darks and 3 lights. I've made several with only the 3 lights and 3 darks and they fit the trees wonderfully. The pattern from Ms. Burns instructs you to use 4 light and 4 dark and makes quite a large tree skirt. I made one with 4 of each color for my 12' tree and it looks great. i started a poinsettia pattern from charlie (rounds with petals) but it was too much work for the short time i have. this would be so much easier.
