    WOW ! Love it , almost makes me want to have a bab ... UH What was I thinking ! :shock: Can't wait to see it when its finished . Did you use a pattern?

    Great photo of use on the boat. I live in North Queensland Australia and my husband and i do a lot of sailing on our yacht. Great time to relax with some hand stitching

    Nope no pattern :)the checkerboard squares I cut at 2 inches, the middle yellow piece is cut at 3 inches wide and the bottom stripes are the leftover 2 inch pieces strip sewn and cut at 4.5 inches. The purple that makes up the bottom of the bag is simply a strip cut at 3.5 inches. I made the whole thing first, the layered it with cotton batting and a muslin backing and did the quilting. Sew'd up the one side and across the bottom. I so far have pinned those triangle flaps on the inside to make the bottom square but haven't sewn it yet. Next will be the lining and the handles.
