Default Emerson and baby ? quilts

When Emerson’s parents were expecting her, her grandmother asked us to make a quilt for her to give to the baby. We were glad to do it, and told her what she would need to provide. We tried several times to get with her, and she stalled until about two weeks before the due date, then said she was getting the baby something else. We didn’t know the parents that well, so we didn’t make her a quilt. Fast forward two years, and we are now pretty chummy with the parents and Emersyn LOVES Emmaline. They are expecting again, so we decided both babies need a quilt. Our go-to patterns for babies are I-Spy and Eleanor Burn’s Quick Trip or Quick Quarter quilts. We made one of each, and figured Emersyn could pick one and the baby would get the other. I thought she would pick the rainbow, but as you can see, she picked the I-Spy. The backing fabric is the same on both quilts. Thanks for looking.

Bright primary colors for the baby and a fun I-Spy for the toddler...................couldn't be better. Love your kindness and generosity.

Two beautiful quilts! That's a nice ending to the story and I hope you have many years of friendship with those little ones.

Cutest quilts for little ones! You did a lovely job, and it looks like you have approval from the sweet little quilt inspector too. Nice work.

Beautiful! And it is great that Emersyn got her own too! I can see why she chose the I spy. So many things to find and identify. The Quick Trip is bright and perfect for a baby.
